Imanol Rodriguez earned a dominant finish at UFC 332, moving to 8-0 in his professional career. The result extends his unbeaten run on the UFC stage.
Imanol Rodriguez extended his perfect professional record to 8-0 with a dominant finish at UFC 332 on October 3, adding another win to his unbeaten run inside the Octagon.
Rodriguez, a 26-year-old orthodox fighter, entered the night at 7-0. The result pushes him a step further along a clean start to his career, one that has now carried him through a growing run of UFC appearances without a loss.
He competes at five-foot-four (163 cm) with a 64-inch reach, a compact frame that has not slowed his output. Rodriguez lands 5.71 significant strikes per minute and connects at 55 percent accuracy, a combination of volume and precision that helps explain how he has stayed undefeated. He also averages 1.3 takedowns per 15 minutes, giving him a wrestling option to go with his striking.
His submission attempt rate sits at zero per 15 minutes, which points to a fighter who prefers to win through damage and pressure rather than hunting for submissions. That profile fits a finish that came on the feet or through ground strikes.
Why it matters
- An 8-0 record is a notable marker in a division where consistency and finishing ability draw attention from matchmakers and fans alike.
- Rodriguez's high-accuracy striking suggests his finishes are the product of a repeatable approach rather than a one-off.
- Another stoppage win from a 26-year-old raises questions about how quickly he may be moved toward stiffer competition.
- His takedown threat gives him a way to change the fight if the striking exchanges stall.
The UFC 332 result adds to the case that Rodriguez is a prospect worth watching as he builds on a spotless professional record.
