Island Boys rapper Flyysoulja was stopped in the opening round of his MMA bout against Jeremy Smith, who is billed as "The World's Strongest Dwarf." The fight took place on the Brand Risk Promotions card, and the finish came in under a minute.

Smith wasted little time. He took Flyysoulja down within seconds of the opening bell, settled into top control and ended the fight with ground and pound. Flyysoulja had no answer once the fight hit the mat.

The result adds another loss to a rough stretch for the Island Boys. Smith had already beaten Flyysoulja's brother, Kodiyakredd, in a boxing match, stopping him as well. With this latest defeat, the pair now sit at a combined 1-5 in their fights.

The bigger picture

The bout belongs to the celebrity and influencer side of combat sports, where Brand Risk Promotions has matched social media personalities against novelty opponents. Smith's victories over both brothers, one in a boxing ring and one in an MMA cage, show he can finish fights in either discipline.

  • Smith has now stopped both Island Boys, in two different combat sports.
  • The MMA finish came on a quick takedown, top control and strikes on the ground.
  • The brothers' combined 1-5 record underlines how difficult these crossover fights have been for them.

The card sits well outside the UFC rankings picture and carries no divisional implications. It is, however, a clear example of how crossover bouts can end abruptly when a fighter with grappling and ground skills meets an opponent who lacks them. Flyysoulja had little chance to find his range or his footing before Smith had the fight where he wanted it.
