UFC 333 is officially in the books!!! A lot of fighters had a lot of big wins, and there are some interesting matchups to be made across several divisions. With that being said, here are the fights I think the UFC should make next! Let me know what you guys think and what changes you’d made! #ufc #mma #ufc333 #alexandervolkanovski #petryan I think it’s time to give Silva his shot, I get that he just beat JMD who’s unranked but he has a win over Arnold Allen who is elite and I believe him vs Volk is a really interesting fight I also wouldn’t have a problem with Aljo vs Volk if he beats Vallejos but I think Silva and Volk’s timelines match up better. Don’t need much of an explanation here… PETR YANNNNNNNN Again no explanation needed, this was the fight to make regardless if Merab won or lost. Song has a ton of momentum right now and this would solidify his shot at the title or if Merab wins, it will show the people that Merab isn’t done yet and has lots more in the tank. I think rebooking Arnold Allen vs Pico is a great call but I think this is what the UFC would wanna do but still a super interesting matchup that was booked before why not book it again I do think though that if Movsar decides to take a lot of time off that the UFC should rebook Allen vs Pico Give the man his shot… nuff said I think their timelines line up perfectly considering the little damage Kavanagh took against Temirov This would be a super interesting clash of styles between 2 young stars in the flyweight division If Kavanagh wins give him a title shot and if Taira wins he’s one win away from a second crack at the belt. Khalil has been out for over a year so there’s no reason he should be fighting up the rankings, while Dom has won 5 of his last 6 only losing to the champ in Carlos Ulberg and deserves a crack at the top 5. Super fun striking matchup would be a great fight night headliner in an arena. Let me know what you guys think about these matchups, what you would change, and what you think is next for these guys. As always hope you guys enjoyed the post… until next time
A UFC fan has put together a list of the fights the promotion should book in the wake of UFC 333, led by a featherweight title bout for Alexander Volkanovski and a headline pairing of Alex Pereira against Petr Yan. The proposals are one fan's opinion, not matchups the UFC has announced or is reported to be planning.
The fan's pitch for the champion centers on Silva, who is said to have just beaten JMD, an unranked opponent, but who also owns a win over the elite Arnold Allen. The fan argues that Silva has earned his shot and that his timeline matches up better with Volkanovski's than an alternative of Aljo against the champion, which the fan would accept only if Aljo beats Vallejos. The same post calls for rebooking Allen against Pico, particularly if Movsar Evloev takes a long layoff, and for a flyweight clash between Taira and Kavanagh. The fan says the winner of that fight would be a title shot away or one win from a second crack at the belt.

Volkanovski's position
Volkanovski, 38, is the featherweight champion and ranked third in the pound-for-pound standings, with a record of 29-4-0. He successfully defended the belt at UFC 333 on October 24, stopping Movsar Evloev by KO/TKO in the second round, which makes him the focal point of any title-picture discussion.
The Australian, who trains out of Freestyle Fighting Gym, has now won three straight title fights. Before Evloev, he beat Diego Lopes by unanimous decision twice, at UFC 314 in April 2025 and UFC 325 in January 2026, each time going the full five rounds. The Evloev finish marks his first stoppage in that run.
His numbers explain why he remains a difficult puzzle. Volkanovski lands 5.99 significant strikes per minute at 57 percent accuracy and averages 1.63 takedowns per 15 minutes. At five-foot-six with a 71-inch reach, he is compact for the division, yet his volume and accuracy let him control range.

Why it matters
- Volkanovski is the champion, so any challenger the fan names would be fighting for the featherweight title.
- The fan's argument is that contender timing, not just ranking, should decide who gets the next shot.
- Rebooking fights such as Allen against Pico shows how the fan weighs a champion's potential time away from the division.
The UFC has not responded to any of these suggestions, and none of the fights listed has been made official.
