Vince Morales snapped a four-fight losing streak in emphatic fashion, knocking out Daniel Lacerda in the main event of Tuff-N-Uff 158 in Las Vegas. Bloody Elbow reported that the fight ended in just 63 seconds.

Morales caught Lacerda with a stiff jab as the Brazilian came forward, dropping him. Follow-up ground strikes prompted referee Herb Dean to step in and wave off the bout. It was Morales' first appearance since he was released by the UFC following an 0-4 run in his second stint with the promotion.

The 35-year-old American, who trains out of Syndicate MMA, now stands at 17-11 by our count, with the win lifting him from 16-11 going in. His most recent recorded fight came on May 2, 2026, when he dropped a unanimous decision to Colby Thicknesse at UFC Fight Night: Della Maddalena vs. Prates. Before that he lost by the same method to Raul Rosas Jr. in March 2025 and Elijah Smith in February 2025. All three of those recorded losses went the full 15 minutes, which makes a one-minute finish a stark change of pace. Morales lands 3.57 significant strikes per minute at 37 percent accuracy.

Lacerda, 30, fell to 11-7 in the loss. The Brazilian fights out of American Top Team and works from a switch stance. His most recent recorded fight was a first-round submission loss to Edgar Chairez at UFC Fight Night: Moreno vs. Royval 2 in February 2024. An earlier meeting with Chairez, in September 2023, was overturned to a no contest. Lacerda's numbers show a more active grappler than Morales: he averages 2.32 takedowns per 15 minutes against Morales' 0.59, and lands 3.95 significant strikes per minute at 45 percent accuracy.

Why it matters

  • Morales ends a skid that began with his UFC run and gets a clean, early finish on his record outside the promotion.
  • The two fighters are matched in reach at 70 inches, with Morales an inch taller at five-foot-seven to Lacerda's five-foot-six, so the jab that ended the fight came without a measurable length advantage.
  • Lacerda, a former UFC fighter, takes a second straight setback by our recorded results, after a stoppage loss and an overturned result before it.

The finish also ran against the statistical profile. Lacerda's takedown rate suggested a fight that could head to the mat on his terms, but Morales never let it get there.
