Chute Boxe head coach Diego Lima announced that his Diego Lima Institute will be renamed the Allan Nascimento Institute as a tribute to the late fighter. Lima made the emotional announcement in honour of Nascimento's memory and legacy.

The UFC honored Allan Nascimento during Fight Night 284 following the flyweight's death at age 34 from an apparent heart attack in his sleep. Nascimento was a longtime member of Brazil's Chute Boxe Academy and a close friend and training partner of Charles Oliveira, Elves Brener, and other UFC fighters, leaving behind a wife and two children. His most recent outing was a split decision loss to Mitch Raposo in June, which snapped a four-fight winning streak that included two performance bonuses.

Arman Tsarukyan will now face Mauricio Ruffy in the main event of UFC 331 on September 19 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, streaming on Paramount+. Charles Oliveira had been expected to oppose Tsarukyan at the event, but withdrew following the death of his longtime teammate, UFC flyweight Allan Nascimento. Tsarukyan enters as a heavy -400 favourite, while Ruffy — riding back-to-back TKO wins over Rafael Fiziev and Michael Chandler — is a +300 underdog.

Allan Nascimento was buried today in a ceremony attended by a large crowd. His coffin was draped in the flag of his team, Chute Boxe Academy, paying tribute to his connection with the legendary fight camp.
