Carlos Ulberg seized the UFC light heavyweight championship at UFC 327 on April 11, stopping Jiri Prochazka by knockout at 3:45 of the first round in a stunning title-fight finish.

Prochazka, the 33-year-old Czech Republic native competing out of Jetsaam Gym Brno, entered the bout ranked second in the division and carried a record of 32-6-1. Standing six-foot-three with an 80-inch reach, Prochazka is one of the most prolific strikers in the weight class, averaging 5.69 significant strikes landed per minute at 55 percent accuracy. The finish denied him what would have been a high-profile championship defense.

Ulberg's performance earned him a Performance of the Night bonus, a recognition shared with Josh Emmett, whose unanimous decision victory over Curtis Blaydes also earned the pair Fight of the Night honors in what was described as a memorable clash.

Elsewhere on the main card, Paulo Costa continued to show the striking output that defines his game. The 35-year-old Brazilian, ranked 13th at middleweight with a 16-4-0 record, averages 6.26 significant strikes per minute at 58 percent accuracy — among the highest rates in his division. He put that pressure to use, stopping Azamat Murzakanov by knockout in Round 3.

Dominick Reyes, the 36-year-old American known as The Devastator, added a victory to his 16-5-0 record with a split-decision win over Johnny Walker. Reyes, ranked eighth at light heavyweight and standing six-foot-four with a 77-inch reach, averaged 5.39 significant strikes per minute heading into the bout.

Cub Swanson rounded out the main card with a first-round TKO of Nate Landwehr.
