Mitch McKee defeated Sergio Pettis by unanimous decision at PFL Chicago. Renat Khavalov also won by unanimous decision over Rafion Stoots. Viviane Araujo beat Shanna Young on the judges' scorecards, while Gabriel Braga defeated Chayden Leialoha the same way. PFL Chicago on April 12 delivered a night of decisive finishes and lopsided scorecards, with Mitch McKee, Renat Khavalov, Viviane Araujo, Gabriel Braga, Jenna Bishop, and Omar El Dafrawy all picking up wins across the card.

Viviane Araujo, the 39-year-old Brazilian flyweight ranked eighth in the women's division, added another victory to her 13-7 record with a unanimous decision over Shanna Young. Fighting out of Cerrado MMA in an orthodox stance, Araujo is a reliable volume striker who averages 3.84 significant strikes per minute at 47 percent accuracy, and she also poses a threat on the mat, averaging 1.72 takedowns per 15 minutes.

Young, the 35-year-old American known as "The Shanimal" and representing Syndicate MMA, came in at 9-6 and matched Araujo's 47 percent striking accuracy, posting 3.18 significant strikes per minute. At five-foot-seven with a 65-inch reach, she had a height advantage but could not do enough to sway the judges.

In one of the night's most emphatic outcomes, Omar El Dafrawy stopped James Vick by knockout in round one. Vick, nicknamed "The Texecutioner," is a 39-year-old Texan who stands six-foot-three with a 76-inch reach and carries a 13-5 record. Despite averaging 4.13 significant strikes per minute across his career, Vick could not survive the early onslaught and was stopped before the frame was out.

Why it matters
- Araujo's win at ranked number eight keeps her in contention in a competitive women's flyweight division
- Vick's first-round knockout loss raises questions about his path forward at 39 years old with five defeats now on his record
- Bishop's rear-naked choke submission and El Dafrawy's knockout gave the card two clean finishes inside round one, adding momentum to both fighters' profiles entering the next phase of competition
