Quick read
The UFC has released three fighters from its roster following recent performance issues. Alex Morono, a 10-year UFC veteran, was removed after suffering his fourth consecutive loss in the octagon at UFC Vegas 113 this past weekend. Javid Basharat was also cut despite earning a unanimous decision victory at UFC Vegas 113 against short-notice opponent Gianni Vazquez, who weighed five pounds over the bantamweight limit. Lucas Almeida was dropped after back-to-back losses to Michael Aswell and Danny Silva, finishing with a 1-4 record in his last five fights. While all three fighters have been released, the UFC retains the option to re-sign any of them in the future.
