Azamat Murzakanov has become the most successful light heavyweight in UFC history among fighters 179cm or shorter, holding a perfect 6-0 record at 178cm tall. Frank Shamrock previously held the best mark at 5-0, also standing 178cm. The analysis shows most UFC light heavyweights under 180cm have struggled, with many posting losing records. If Murzakanov reaches a title fight, he would be the first challenger under 180cm to compete for the 205-pound belt in 27 years, with Daniel Cormier and Rashad Evans both standing exactly 180cm.
