Ray Longo, trainer of Merab Dvalishvili and Aljamain Sterling, has called for discussion about mental health in MMA following Jiri Prochazka's recent comments. Longo criticized Prochazka's claim that he showed "mercy" in his fight, stating the fighter simply made a serious mistake and was left looking lost. Carlos Ulberg also dismissed Prochazka's explanation, arguing it was actually fear that affected him, not mercy. Ulberg accused Prochazka of playing to the audience and creating excuses to secure a rematch. Ulberg noted that Prochazka didn't approach him after their fight and suggested everything Prochazka does is aimed at generating public reaction. There also appears to be tension at City Kickboxing gym between top fighters like Israel Adesanya and Ulberg, who haven't been seen together recently and aren't supporting each other's performances.
