The production team located a stage being constructed somewhere in Europe, which will be shipped to Philadelphia and then trucked to Washington DC for assembly on the South Lawn. White stressed that UFC is funding the entire event privately, with no taxpayer money being spent, presenting it as a gift for America's 250th anniversary. Free tickets will be available for the Ellipse, a large park field across from the arena, with more than 100,000 fans expected to attend fight week activities.
