Dana White provided extensive details about the UFC's upcoming White House event celebrating America's 250th anniversary. White explained the arena stage is being constructed in Europe before being shipped to Philadelphia and then transported by truck to Washington DC, where it will be erected on the South Lawn. The UFC is funding the entire production without using any taxpayer money, calling it a gift to America. White emphasized the event transcends politics and is about celebrating the United States. Over 70,000 people have already applied for tickets through UFCfreedom250.com. Free tickets will be available in the Ellipse, a park across from the arena that can accommodate large crowds. More than 100,000 fans are expected to attend various fight week activities including a two-day fan festival, press conference, and weigh-in ceremony. The Zac Brown Band will perform throughout the day, and the event will feature celebrity guests and big-screen fight viewing.
