Both men are Irish-based fighters who trained together at SBG Ireland. McGregor, nicknamed The Notorious, carries a professional record of 22-6-0 and competes as one of the most recognisable names in mixed martial arts, landing 5.32 significant strikes per minute with a striking accuracy of 49 percent across his career. Lobov, known as The Russian Hammer, holds a record of 13-15-1 and stands five-foot-nine with a 65-inch reach, averaging 3.52 significant strikes landed per minute at a 41 percent accuracy rate.
