Quick read
Russian fighter Mark Vologdin is in training camp ahead of his UFC debut. The 25-year-old from Petrozavodsk, Republic of Karelia, lost a decision on Dana White's Contender Series in October but earned a contract anyway due to the exciting nature of the fight. Vologdin carries a record of 12-4-1 with six knockouts and four submission wins, and holds a master of sport rank in Kyokushin karate. He will face experienced veteran John Castaneda, who is 4-4 in the UFC and last fought exactly one year ago when he lost a split decision to Chris Gutierrez.
