MVP Promotion has released staredown footage for three featured matchups on its upcoming May 16 card, giving fans a first look at the face-offs between some of combat sports' most recognizable names.

The headlining women's bout pits Ronda "Rowdy" Rousey against Gina "Conviction" Carano. Rousey, 39, carries a 12-2 record and built her legend on a ferocious grappling attack, averaging 6.26 takedowns and 4.8 submission attempts per 15 minutes across her career. The American out of Team Hayastan stands five-foot-seven with a 66-inch reach and connects at a 52 percent striking accuracy rate. Carano, also American and fighting out of Xtreme Couture, is 44 years old and holds a 7-1 record. She lands 4.5 significant strikes per minute at 47 percent accuracy and adds 1.24 takedowns per 15 minutes to her arsenal.

Also featured on the card is a welterweight clash between Nate Diaz and Mike Perry. Diaz, 41, represents the Cesar Gracie Fight Team and comes in at 22-13. The six-foot southpaw owns a 76-inch reach and lands 4.57 significant strikes per minute, while also averaging 1.3 submission attempts per 15 minutes — a nod to his dangerous Brazilian jiu-jitsu background.

The third matchup shown in the staredown footage involves Francis Ngannou and Felipe Linns, though verified data for those two fighters was not available at time of publication.
