Face-offs released for May 16 MVP card featuring Rousey-Carano, Diaz-Perry, Ngannou-Linz

Face-off footage for MVP's May 16 event has been released by FightHubTV, offering the first visual preview of a card headlined by a trio of marquee matchups, including a blockbuster women's bout between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano.

Rousey, nicknamed "Rowdy," enters the fight at 12-2 and is one of the most decorated competitors in women's combat sports history. The 39-year-old American trains out of Team Hayastan and stands five-foot-seven with a 66-inch reach. She is a dominant grappler, averaging 6.26 takedowns per 15 minutes alongside 4.8 submission attempts per 15 minutes, and connects on 52 percent of her significant strikes.

Carano, known as "Conviction," holds a 7-1 record and trains at Xtreme Couture. The 44-year-old American stands five-foot-eight and is herself an accomplished striker and grappler, landing 4.5 significant strikes per minute at 47 percent accuracy while averaging 1.24 takedowns and 1.6 submission attempts per 15 minutes.

Also on the card, Nate Diaz squares off with Mike Perry. The Stockton-born southpaw is now 22-13 and fights out of the Cesar Gracie Fight Team. Standing six feet tall with a 76-inch reach, the 41-year-old lands 4.57 significant strikes per minute and is equally dangerous on the mat, averaging 1.3 submission attempts per 15 minutes.

Francis Ngannou, listed at 18-3, rounds out the featured bouts against Felipe Linz, who carries an 18-5 record into the contest.
