Khamzat Chimaev says he won't kill Sean Strickland, calls it haram

Khamzat Chimaev responded to speculation about whether he would refuse to release a submission hold on Sean Strickland in their upcoming fight. When interviewer Adam Zubairaev suggested fans believe security would need to separate them if Chimaev locked in a submission, Chimaev dismissed the idea with humor. He stated that he does not want to kill anyone because it is haram (forbidden in Islam). When asked directly if he plans to kill Strickland, Chimaev said no and clarified that officials would not allow him to kill his opponent anyway. He added that on the street it would be different, but inside the cage it is a sport.
