In an interview with Adam Zubairaev, Khamzat Chimaev addressed fan speculation about his upcoming fight with Sean Strickland. When asked if he would refuse to release a submission hold on Strickland, requiring security to intervene, Chimaev laughed and said he does not want to kill anyone because it is haram (forbidden in Islam). He clarified that he has no intention of killing Strickland, stating that security would not allow it anyway. Chimaev added that on the street someone might die, but in the cage it is a sport.
