Chimaev clarifies he won't kill Strickland due to religious reasons

In an interview with Adam Zubairaev, Khamzat Chimaev addressed fan speculation about his upcoming fight with Sean Strickland. When asked if he would refuse to release a submission hold on Strickland, requiring security intervention, Chimaev laughed and said he doesn't want to kill anyone because it's haram (forbidden in Islam). He clarified that while he has no intention of killing Strickland, the sport's structure wouldn't allow it anyway. Chimaev distinguished between street fighting, where such outcomes could occur, and cage fighting as a regulated sport.
