Yoel Alvarez and Benoit Saint Denis begin joint training camp in France

Yoel Alvarez and Benoit Saint Denis have started training together at a camp in Bayonne, France, under coach Nicolas Otatt. The two lightweight fighters were scheduled to face each other a year ago, but the bout fell through, and now they're working as training partners. Alvarez is preparing for his UFC 328 fight against Yaroslav Amosov on May 9, while Saint Denis does not yet have a fight announced. According to Alvarez, Saint Denis reached out to arrange the joint training, and the Spaniard believes his French training partner may be preparing for an opponent with a similar style to his own, though Saint Denis hasn't revealed who.
