Azamat Bostanov, now a fighter manager, shared detailed memories of UFC 223 when Khabib Nurmagomedov won the lightweight title eight years ago. Bostanov recounts interviewing Artem Lobov after the infamous confrontation with Khabib, which initially led manager Ali Abdelaziz to forbid him from approaching their team. However, Khabib intervened, telling Abdelaziz that Bostanov was "our guy" just doing his work. Bostanov also recalled how 20-30 Dagestanis gathered at the hotel to protect Khabib from potential provocations, and how Zabit Magomedsharipov fought with two broken fingers without telling the athletic commission. Despite being exhausted after winning the title, Khabib took time to photograph with fans, thank supporters, and even talk via video call with strangers' relatives who were crowded in his hotel room. Years later, Khabib recognized Bostanov on the street and offered him a ride, demonstrating the champion's continued humility and kindness.
