Carlos Ulberg's manager Ash Belcastro has confirmed that the fighter suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Belcastro stated that the surgery went "very well" and that Ulberg is "aiming to return as soon as possible." However, recovery from an ACL tear can take up to 12 months, meaning Ulberg may not compete in the octagon until late 2026. The injury raises questions about whether the UFC should introduce an interim title in the division during his absence.
