Lightweight Nikita Kulshin improved to 9-0 by knocking out Junior Melo (15-9-1) in the opening round at LFA 231. The 26-year-old North Ossetian fighter, who has lived in the United States for four years, earned his sixth consecutive LFA victory in three years. After four straight decision wins, Kulshin returned to his knockout form, having also won his LFA debut by KO. In his post-fight interview, Kulshin grabbed the microphone and called out the UFC, stating he is ready to compete on short notice at any time. He trains at Kill Cliff gym and has never suffered a professional loss.
