Mark Vologdin addressed criticism about dropping his hands during the third round of his UFC debut fight. When asked why he kept his hands low despite being hit and his corner yelling at him, Vologdin admitted he was fighting on instinct and kept thinking his opponent wouldn't drop him even with lowered guard. He acknowledged it was foolish but said he doesn't care what people write about him leaving his health on the line. Vologdin stated he chose this path himself and simply enjoyed the experience of fighting in the UFC.
