Sean Strickland spent an entire day in Newport Beach, California, where Khamzat Chimaev is currently training, deliberately tagging his location throughout the day on social media. Strickland was responding to reports that Chimaev said he would try to kill him on the street. He posted that he was just ten minutes from Chimaev's gym and that fighters training with Chimaev are subscribed to his stories, so Chimaev should have known where he was. Strickland stated he expected Chimaev to show up and declared himself the last guy in America that Chimaev should mess with on the streets. The callout adds another layer to their ongoing rivalry ahead of their scheduled fight.
