Azamat Bostanov, now an MMA manager, recalled his experience as a journalist covering Khabib Nurmagomedov's UFC 223 title victory in Brooklyn eight years ago. After interviewing Artem Lobov following his confrontation with Khabib, Bostanov was confronted by manager Ali Abdelaziz who told him not to approach their team. However, Khabib intervened warmly, putting his arm around Bostanov and telling Abdelaziz that he was "our guy" just doing his job. Bostanov also remembered 20-30 Dagestanis gathering at the hotel ready to protect Khabib from potential Conor McGregor provocations. After the event, despite being exhausted, Khabib took time to photograph with fans, let Bostanov wear his championship belt, and spoke with numerous people who video-called him. The account portrays Khabib as consistently humble and generous with his time despite his rising fame.
