Strickland spent day in Newport Beach near Chimaev's gym, rival no-showed

Sean Strickland was in Newport Beach, California on Friday, the city where Khamzat Chimaev is currently training, and spent the day tagging his location on social media in hopes of encountering Chimaev's team. Strickland stated he was responding to something he saw online where Chimaev allegedly said he would try to kill Strickland on the street. The American noted he was only 10 minutes from Chimaev's gym all day and that people who train with Chimaev follow him and would have seen his stories. Strickland expressed he expected Chimaev to show up but the Chechen fighter did not. Strickland warned Chimaev that he is the last guy in America he should be confronting on the streets.
