Strickland says he spent day in Newport Beach near Chimaev's gym seeking encounter

Sean Strickland revealed he spent an entire day in Newport Beach, California, where Khamzat Chimaev is currently training, hoping to confront him in person. Strickland posted his location throughout the day on social media stories after seeing content where Chimaev allegedly said he would try to kill Strickland on the street. The American fighter stayed within ten minutes of Chimaev's gym and believed that teammates of Chimaev, who follow him on social media, would inform the Chechen-born fighter of his presence. Strickland stated he is "the last guy in America" Chimaev should provoke and expressed disappointment that no encounter occurred. He emphasized his willingness to back up his words with action.
