Strickland spent day in Newport Beach near Chimaev's gym seeking confrontation

Sean Strickland spent an entire day in Newport Beach, California, the location where Khamzat Chimaev is currently training, in an apparent attempt to confront him. Strickland repeatedly tagged his location on social media stories throughout the day, knowing that members of Chimaev's team follow him and would see the posts. He stated he was responding to Chimaev's comments about trying to kill him on the street, and positioned himself just ten minutes from Chimaev's gym. Strickland expressed that he expected Chimaev to show up but was ultimately disappointed when no confrontation materialized. He emphasized that Chimaev should not be making threats against him, calling himself "the last guy in America" that Chimaev should try to intimidate.
