The UFC has officially added two bouts to UFC Vegas 118, scheduled for June 6, pairing Bryce Mitchell against Victor Henry at bantamweight and Imanol Rodriguez against Matt Schnell at flyweight.

Mitchell, nicknamed "Thug Nasty," enters the matchup carrying an 18-4-0 overall record and a 9-3 mark inside the UFC. The 31-year-old American, who trains out of Barata MMA, is a southpaw standing five-foot-ten with a 70-inch reach. He is one of the more dangerous grapplers in his division, averaging 3.24 takedowns per 15 minutes, and his striking accuracy of 59 percent is among the best in the promotion.

Henry, known as "La Mangosta," brings a 25-7-0 professional record and a 4-2 UFC ledger into the contest. The 39-year-old switch-hitter out of UWF USA is a high-volume striker, landing 7.17 significant strikes per minute at 53 percent accuracy — numbers that make him a genuine threat on the feet regardless of opponent. He stands five-foot-seven with a 68-inch reach.

The flyweight pairing features Imanol Rodriguez, who is 1-0 in the UFC, squaring off with the experienced Matt "Danger" Schnell. Schnell, 36, of Fortis MMA holds a 17-10-0 overall record with a 7-8 UFC mark. The orthodox American stands five-foot-eight with a 70-inch reach and averages 4.07 significant strikes per minute, while also contributing 1.2 submission attempts per 15 minutes — signaling he can be dangerous on the mat as well as on the feet.

Why it matters

  • Mitchell's grappling-heavy style sets up a compelling contrast with Henry's elite striking volume at bantamweight.
  • A win for Mitchell would reinforce his standing in a crowded division; a victory for Henry would represent a significant scalp given the UFC record gap.
  • Schnell's UFC experience advantage is substantial against the relatively unproven Rodriguez, giving the flyweight bout meaningful developmental stakes for both men.
