He stated that two more submission wins would tie him with Oliveira's mark. Zalal expressed particular interest in submitting Aljamain Sterling, noting that Sterling has never been finished by submission in his career and has only been stopped twice total—once by TKO and once by knockout. Successfully submitting Sterling would represent a major accomplishment in Zalal's pursuit of the record.
