Petr Yan has been awarded the Medal of the Order for Services to the Fatherland, Second Class, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The former UFC bantamweight champion received the honor for his contributions to the development of physical culture and sports in Russia. The award is one of the highest civilian honors in the Russian Federation. Yan's achievements in mixed martial arts, including his UFC championship reign and continued high-level performances, have been recognized at the national level.
