Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz announced he has successfully undergone knee surgery. The procedure was performed by Dr. Damian Zaborowski under the supervision of Dr. Michalik, who has been present for all of Blachowicz's previous operations. According to Blachowicz, the surgery went according to plan with the priority being to restore full functionality as quickly as possible. Dr. Michalik also performed a sinus procedure during the same operation. Blachowicz indicated his recovery is going well and cryptically mentioned that he has a plan and a new date, suggesting a return to competition is being scheduled. He is sharing a hospital room with a Muay Thai fan who is also a gamer.
