Vadim Nemkov says Alexander Ovechkin more recognizable in America than Khabib

Bellator champion Vadim Nemkov stated in an interview with Ushatayka that NHL star Alexander Ovechkin is currently more recognizable in America than Khabib Nurmagomedov. Nemkov explained that hockey is extremely popular among American youth, with children who play the sport all knowing Ovechkin. He noted that Ovechkin's recent breaking of Wayne Gretzky's record and continued presence in the headlines keeps him in the public eye. In contrast, Nemkov believes Khabib is no longer as famous or prominent in American news since his retirement. Nemkov suggested both would be recognized, but gave the edge to Ovechkin in terms of current American recognition.
