Sean O'Malley has publicly pushed back on speculation that Conor McGregor entered his most recent fight with a pre-existing knee injury, saying the damage appeared entirely unexpected.

Speaking out on the matter, the ranked bantamweight contender was unequivocal. "There's no way he had a previous knee injury going into the fight. There's no way," O'Malley stated, describing his reaction to McGregor's injury as one of genuine shock.

O'Malley, 31, carries a 20-3-0 professional record and currently sits fourth in the UFC bantamweight division. The American, who trains out of MMA Lab and stands five-foot-eleven with a 72-inch reach, has built a reputation as one of the sport's most prolific strikers, landing 6.05 significant strikes per minute at a 60 percent accuracy rate.

McGregor, 37, holds a 22-7-0 record across his career and remains one of the most recognizable names in combat sports. The Irishman out of SBG Ireland stands five-foot-nine with a 74-inch reach and has averaged 5.27 significant strikes per minute over his career, posting a 49 percent striking accuracy. He competes as a southpaw.
