MMA manager Azamat Bostanov shared detailed memories of attending UFC 223 in Brooklyn eight years ago when Khabib Nurmagomedov won the lightweight championship. Bostanov recalled interviewing Artem Lobov after the famous bus incident, initially being warned away by Ali Abdelaziz but welcomed by Khabib who said he was "just doing his work." He described 20-30 Dagestanis gathering at the hotel ready to protect Khabib from potential Conor McGregor provocations. Bostanov also revealed that Zabit Magomedsharipov broke two fingers during his warm-up but fought anyway without telling the athletic commission. After the event, despite exhaustion, Khabib spent time with a crowded hotel room full of strangers, taking video calls and photos with everyone. Years later, Khabib still recognized and offered Bostanov a ride, demonstrating his consistent humble and friendly demeanor despite championship success.
