Kaliningrad boxer Sergey Gorokhov (17-11-2) and his team were attacked by a crowd inside the ring in Turkey following his second-round knockout victory over local fighter Emirhan Kalkan (7-1). The incident began when Gorokhov celebrated enthusiastically after his win, prompting a confrontation with someone from Kalkan's corner. After Gorokhov's cornerman Ismail pushed this individual, a crowd rushed into the ring and assaulted Gorokhov and his team. Ismail and another cornerman were taken to the hospital following the attack. After leaving the hospital, the team immediately drove from Trabzon to Georgia, removing their Russian license plates as a precaution, and successfully reached Georgia safely.
