According to Ariel Helwani, the promotion is also planning to book Max Holloway versus Conor McGregor for UFC 329, Islam Makhachev versus Ian Garry for UFC 330, and is considering Alexander Volkov as a potential opponent for Sergei Pavlovich. Pavlovich's coach Gor Azizyan stated he would like a rematch with Volkov, claiming Alexander only ran during their first fight and that Pavlovich simply needs to change tactics to win. The official Pimblett-Moicano announcement represents the first confirmed bout from this series of planned matchups.
