Shamil Gaziev confirmed that he weighed 140 kilograms before starting his training camp, addressing speculation about heavyweight fighters' weight management. He emphasized that heavyweights do cut weight, stating he has been dieting for the past six weeks. According to his social media post, Gaziev now weighs 119 kilograms and does not expect any issues making weight. The post clarifies that his previous statements about his weight referred to his off-season condition, not his fighting weight. The 120kg weight limit for his division means he has successfully shed 21 kilograms during camp.
