Salkield apologizes to fans for submitting Mullarkey instead of knockout

Quinlan Salkield revealed that fans were genuinely upset with him for finishing Jamie Mullarkey with a submission when they expected a knockout based on his previous performances. Salkield explained that fans didn't realize he was capable of grappling finishes, having only seen his knockout highlights. He had to apologize to disappointed fans who were angry he submitted his opponent rather than knocking him out. When asked if fans would bet on a knockout in his upcoming fight with Beneil Dariush, Salkield acknowledged the difficulty of finishing opponents at the UFC level and said he would try to win however possible.
