Tom Aspinall says his eye injury is healing and he expects to receive clearance soon to return to full contact training. Aspinall stated that the UFC has informed him his next fight will be against the winner of the Alex Pereira versus Ciryl Gane matchup. He explained that the two must fight each other first, then recover from that bout, and once everyone is ready the fight can take place. Aspinall is currently awaiting medical clearance while the UFC heavyweight title picture sorts itself out.
