Prates sets UFC record for fastest to 7 KO wins in just 8 fights

Carlos Prates has set a new UFC record by achieving 7 knockout victories faster than anyone in history, doing so in just 8 fights. The previous record holders were heavyweights Daniel Cormier and Cain Velasquez, who achieved it in 9 fights. Only 62 fighters out of 2,710 who have competed in UFC over 33 years have managed to accumulate 7 knockouts at all. Prates has also set records for the fastest to 14 knockdowns (in 17 incomplete rounds) and fastest to earn 7 Performance of the Night bonuses, typically requiring 15 fights but Prates achieved it in 8. He knocked out two former UFC champions who had never been knocked out before.
