Lightweight contender Mateusz Gamrot stated on the WojewódzkiKędzierski podcast that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States. He cited examples such as the delayed adoption of portable payment terminals in American restaurants compared to Poland. Gamrot also criticized American social interactions as superficial and noted a lack of genuine hospitality, recalling instances where he had to bring his own food to barbecues. While he acknowledged the career advantages of training in the U.S., particularly Florida, he emphasized that quality of life and ease of living are better in Poland. Gamrot mentioned that even his children prefer returning home to Poland despite being in Florida with palm trees and beaches.
