Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective that Poland surpasses the United States in cleanliness, safety, hospitality, and modernity in many aspects. The UFC lightweight recalled visiting an American restaurant where staff celebrated newly installed portable payment terminals, technology that Poland had implemented a decade earlier. Gamrot criticized Americans as superficially polite, recounting an incident where his genuine response to "How are you?" during Fight Week confused someone expecting the standard "Fine, bye bye." He described American hospitality as lacking, claiming he was invited to barbecues twice and would have gone hungry had he not brought his own food. Gamrot noted that while the US offers career advantages for athletes, daily life in Poland is often more convenient and authentic. Even his children, despite visiting Florida's beaches, expressed preference for returning to their grandmother in Poland.
