Polish lightweight Mateusz Gamrot has shared extensive thoughts on cultural differences between Poland and the United States during an appearance on the WojewódzkiKędzierski podcast. Gamrot stated that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than America, despite having problematic laws and government. He criticized American social interactions as superficial, citing examples of restaurant technology lagging behind Poland by a decade and experiences where hosts at barbecues did not provide food for guests. Gamrot noted that while the U.S. offers career advantages for sports, quality of life is not necessarily better. He recounted how his children, despite being in Florida with palm trees and beaches, expressed wanting to return to their grandmother in Poland.
