UFC lightweight contender Mateusz Gamrot shared his perspective comparing Poland favorably to the United States in several key areas. Speaking on the WojewódzkiKędzierski podcast, Gamrot stated that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than America. He cited examples of Poland having portable payment terminals in restaurants ten years before they became common in the U.S., and criticized American social interactions as superficial. Gamrot also noted that Americans are not particularly hospitable, recalling being invited to barbecues where he would have gone hungry without bringing his own food. He acknowledged that the U.S. offers advantages for sports careers but emphasized that life quality is not necessarily better there. The Polish fighter mentioned that even his children prefer being in Poland with their grandmother over being in Florida.
