Mateusz Gamrot stated on a podcast that Poland is cleaner, safer, more hospitable, and in many ways more modern than the United States. The UFC lightweight contender shared experiences from his time in America, noting that basic payment technology he saw introduced in U.S. restaurants had existed in Poland for a decade. Gamrot criticized what he sees as superficial American hospitality, recalling instances where he was invited to barbecues but expected to bring his own food, contrasting this with Polish culture. He also described American social interactions as shallow and noted that his children prefer visiting their grandmother in Poland over beach vacations in Florida. While acknowledging the U.S. offers career advantages for sports, Gamrot emphasized that quality of life isn't necessarily better there.
