Khamzat Chimaev addressed multiple topics at media day ahead of his fight with Sean Strickland. He posted old sparring footage with Strickland to counter claims that he only spars weak opponents, saying Strickland would complain to the coach when intensity increased. Chimaev believes Arman Tsarukyan would beat Strickland even if Tsarukyan moved up to middleweight. When asked about finishing Strickland quickly or punishing him slowly, Chimaev said he plans to simply fight and let the outcome unfold. He revealed visa issues have prevented him from competing more frequently, but he is ready to fight every three months and is waiting for the UFC to book him more often.
