Tapology has introduced a new feature that calculates and displays an opponent quality level for UFC fighters' profiles, expressed on a scale from 1 to 99. The rating is calculated using a special formula based on a fighter's last six UFC bouts, with fights in other organizations not factored into the calculation. For UFC 328, Sean Strickland leads the card with the highest rating of 74, followed by Khamzat Chimaev at 69 and Alexander Volkov at 67. At the lower end of the scale, Baisangur Susurkayev and Ozzy Diaz are tied at 4, representing the lowest opponent quality ratings on the card.
Tapology has launched a new opponent quality rating system for UFC fighter profiles ahead of UFC 328, assigning each fighter a numerical score between 1 and 99 that reflects the caliber of competition they have faced inside the octagon.

The rating is calculated using a proprietary formula drawn exclusively from a fighter's last six UFC bouts. Contests from other promotions are not counted, meaning the score is a direct measure of UFC-specific competition quality rather than a fighter's overall career resume.

Sean Strickland tops the UFC 328 card with the highest opponent quality rating of 74. The middleweight champion, who fights out of Xtreme Couture, carries a 31-7-0 record and is 35 years old. The American stands six-foot-one with a 76-inch reach and lands 6.04 significant strikes per minute, one of the higher output rates in his division.

Alexander Volkov checks in at 67, the third-highest rating on the card. The 37-year-old Russian heavyweight, known as Drago, is ranked number one in his division and holds a 40-11-0 record. Standing six-foot-seven with an 80-inch reach, Volkov connects on 57 percent of his significant strikes, a strong accuracy mark for the heavyweight class.

Khamzat Chimaev sits second on the card with a rating of 69, slotting between Strickland and Volkov in the opponent quality standings.

At the opposite end of the scale, Baisangur Susurkayev and Ozzy Diaz both register a rating of 4, the lowest scores among all fighters listed on the UFC 328 card.

Why it matters
- The system gives fans and analysts a quick reference for how battle-tested a fighter's recent UFC run has been
- Strickland's leading score of 74 underscores his consistent matchmaking against elite middleweight opposition
- Volkov's 67 rating reinforces his standing as the division's top-ranked heavyweight heading into the event
- Low scores for newer fighters like Susurkayev and Diaz reflect limited UFC-level competition rather than overall ability
