Tapology has implemented a new feature displaying opposition level ratings on UFC fighter profiles, calculated using a formula that scores from 1 to 99. The rating considers only a fighter's last six UFC bouts, excluding fights in other organizations. At UFC 328, Sean Strickland leads with a 74 rating, followed by Khamzat Chimaev at 69 and Alexander Volkov at 67. On the opposite end, Baysangur Susurkayev and Ozzy Diaz both have ratings of 4, representing the lowest opposition levels on the card. This metric provides fans with quantitative data about the strength of schedule each fighter has faced.
Tapology has rolled out a new opposition quality rating system for UFC fighter profiles, assigning each competitor a score between 1 and 99 based on the caliber of opponents they have faced inside the Octagon.

The metric draws exclusively from a fighter's last six UFC bouts, leaving out performances in other promotions to keep the calculation focused on competition at the sport's highest level. The feature is designed to give fans a cleaner, data-driven picture of the strength of schedule each fighter on a given card has navigated.

Heading into UFC 328 on May 9, Sean Strickland tops the rating among fighters on the card with a score of 74. The reigning middleweight champion carries a 31-7-0 record at 35 years old and is one of the most active strikers in his division, landing 6.04 significant strikes per minute. Khamzat Chimaev slots in second at 69, with Alexander Volkov third at 67. Volkov, the number-one ranked heavyweight contender, holds a 40-11-0 record at 37 years old and connects on 57 percent of his significant strikes, a standout accuracy figure for the division.

At the other end of the scale, Baysangur Susurkayev and Ozzy Diaz both register a 4, the lowest marks on the UFC 328 card, reflecting more limited opposition histories within the promotion to this point.

Why it matters
- The system highlights meaningful gaps in schedule difficulty between established contenders and newer or lower-ranked fighters on the same card.
- Restricting the calculation to UFC bouts only could undervalue fighters who built their records against high-level opposition in other major promotions.
- For casual and hardcore fans alike, a single numerical score offers a fast reference point when comparing fighters across weight classes or career stages.
